When it rains, it pours!

It seems like this saying is certainly true! Although I had a fabulous time last weekend, the days to follow would be an emotional roller coaster of happy and sad times! I found out while I was in Columbia that my grandparent's dog of 14 years died suddenly, which crushed me because I knew how incredibly upset they would be. They are dealing with it fine, but I know they miss their "baby". Then when I got home from Columbia, I found out about Heather's car wreck. I am so thankful that she is going to be fine and that God protected her from the worst! A few hours later, the roller coaster went back up because I found out that Corey's water had broken and that her baby would be coming soon! On Tuesday, she had baby Grady (yayy!) AND my car broke down on the way to school (another plummit on the "ride of life" lol) Luckily, Tony's dad was able to fix it in a few days so I wasn't without a car for too long. All of these events, combined with wedding planning STRESS and 23 students who NEED summer vacation, created a very hectic week. However, I'm glad that it is the weekend and have had a great one so far! Tony was actually off this weekend so last night we saw a movie, this morning I helped my parents with a yard sale, and tonight I got to help my sister get ready for prom! I can't believe she'll be graduating in a month! lol Anyways, later on tonight, she and some friends are going to spend the night with me so it should be fun! WHEW this is a long blog, but I needed to update for those who think I'm interesting enough to read about! =)

Bachelorette Fun!

Last weekend, I got to go to Columbia to celebrate my friend, Maggie's bachelorette weekend! Right after school on Friday, I hit the road to Columbia and met up with Maggie and her other bridesmaids. Then it was off to a great dinner at this place called Tsunami's (yum!) and then back to Bella's house for the lingerie shower! It was sooo much fun! The next day, we ventured to Charlotte and stayed at the Holiday Inn in downtown (right in the middle of everything!) It made me realize how much I LOVE bigger cities! I don't know if I could live in one all the time, but I definitely love visiting them often! All in all, we had a GREAT time, and it made me SO excited to have a bachelorette party for myself!!! =)

Zoe's First Boat Ride

Since we finally had some warm and sunny weather today, Tony and I went to Lake Adger to take Zoe on her first boat ride! It was a great way to end Spring Break (sigh)! I love going on Tony's boat, so whenever we get a chance (which is rare), we go on it. Here's some pictures of our day...Enjoy!

A very busy weekend!

Wow! What a busy weekend!!! It all started Friday after I left school for Spring Break (yayy!) and left for Atlanta for Tony's cousin, Starla's, wedding. We got to Atlanta at about 11:30 and crashed in bed right away. Then it was up and at 'em pretty early as everybody was fighting for the shower to get ready for the wedding. The wedding itself was beautiful (see pics below) and it was so much fun to hang out with all of Tony's cousins! They truly are a big, loud, Italian family! :-) After the wedding, we left Atlanta to come back to Spartanburg (at 2 in the morning!) When we got home, I got a few hours of sleep and then headed to Columbia for my friend Margaret's bridal shower. Pheww I was tired! Her shower was great though, and it was wonderful getting to see her, and to meet her little girl, Madison! I was so tired that I forgot to bring my camera, so I unfortunately don't have any pics of the shower. Needless to say when I got home on Sunday, I was exhausted! But, my day wasn't over yet! Tony's family from his dad's side, from Philadelphia, were here and wanted to see our house. So they made a quick trip over Sunday night. THEN I finally got to go to bed (and sleep till 12:30 the next day!) I am SOOO glad it's Spring Break!

My plans for next year...

I absolutely cannot believe how FAST my first year of teaching is going! Today was the last day of the third nine weeks, which means there are only 9 final weeks until I have a whole year of teaching experience under my belt! It definitely hasn't been easy, but I definitely have learned SO much, and can't wait to make some changes next year. Speaking of next year...I turned in my contract the other day so I will be teaching 3rd grade again at O. P. Earle! I have heard the students coming up from 2nd grade are good group, so I am excited to start a new year with them. But, whenever I think about my students leaving in 9 weeks, I get so sad! lol It's so funny because some days they drive me crazy, but at the end of the day, I realize that I still love each and every one of them. Well, here's to a successful 9 more weeks (we have a LOT to get finished before PACT ahhhh!)

I LOVE this warm weather

I was SO glad it was so warm today! I actually got home in time to walk Zoe, our dog, around the neighborhood. I absolutely LOVE to walk Zoe! It's amazing how strong she is....she prances around with her tongue out while she's pulling me along! lol Here is a picture of what she looks like. I never thought I would get so attached to a dog so quickly, but it certainly has happened! Well, thank goodness tomorrow is Friday! I'm so ready for the weekend! (one of my last free ones before the real craziness begins!)
